Charley Phelan

 

 

Born and raised in Santa Fe, NM.  At the age of 2 he was diagnosed with severe epilepsy and mild Cerebral Palsy.  When he was 6 years old, he learned to ski in an adaptive program "Challenge New Mexico," which his parents were key parts of.  After years of lessons and driving 2 hours every weekend with the programs trainer Bobby Palm, he started volunteering. He taught at Ski Santa Fe in the children’s ski school for 4 years.  He then decided to move to Steamboat. Charley has been in Steamboat for years.  He is currently an adaptive examiner for PSIA.  He has taught 2 years at Hotham in Australia. He has taught at and continues to teach at national events for 10 years. He has ran AAS and many of its courses all over the world from AAS Since 2013.
